The universal way to to drop the mod or patch contents in the gamedata folder of your game directory. Sometimes you can drop it in the main directory. If it is not detecting anything then make sure you read any faqs included with the mod or any installation instructions on the mod page. I guess that would be only system.ltx (gamedataconfigs) and actor.ltx (gamedataconfigscreatures) modified. The only gamedata folder I found uploaded on internet is from 2013 and I doubt that's up to date to 1.4.22 to which I decided to patch. All I have in my gamedata is the system.ltx and actor.ltx along with atmosfear and axr.ltx files. In the textures/map folder there is a file called mapjupiter.dds, which contains a work-in-progress map of the Jupiter factory and its surroundings. I love this game like most of hardcore stalker series fans, but I don't like the English voices with the silly accents, so lets change it to same level like Shadow of Chernobyl was - English text and Russian voices

Few notes how to successfully apply this FIX: (These same notes are also included in self-extracting archive welcome message)
EXTRACT gamedata to root of COP folder, self-extracting archive will do it for you if you don't have problems with installation directory path, Proceed with 'install'
